Behaviour of metamaterial antenna under the influence of genetic algorithm: Design, modelling and modelling of microstrip antenna with EBG and GA

In this present paper, an Microstrip Patch Antenna with Square Split Ring Resonator is scheduled for the ISM based applications covering all sphere of Industrial, Scientific including scopes of a Medical. It is observed that the Metamaterial Antenna loaded with SSRR produces Gain of more than 9.377 dBi and a Bandwidth of 100 MHz which is beyond that of a Conventional Antenna. With correspondence to these, the size of Metamaterial Antenna is reduced by 11.90% as correlated to the Conventional Antenna. Here the authors have used Rogers RT Duroid 5880 Substrate with Epsilon Value of 2.2 where we have observed that Metamaterial Antenna exhibits a Omni-Directional Pattern in the E-Plane and Directional Pattern in H-Plane that indicating Good Radiation Pattern. In order to obtain a best parametric analysis, Genetic Algorithm or GA is used out for consecutive times. In last part, Comparative Analysis of various antenna parameters and with existing prototypes been shown, that witnesses importance of Metamaterials in prospectives of Antenna Design Engineering.
