Psycho-social well-being in relation to the psychoacoustic factors identified by autocorrelation functions

Some experiments were conducted in the conventional anechoic chamber to investigate subjective time as a function of the factors of psycho-acoustic stimuli. Two types of methods were used in which, autocorrelation function (ACF) analyzes acoustic signal concerning psycho-acoustic factors and the psychophysical method measures subjective responses on perceived time. Four factors of the ACF extracted by the pure tone, complex tone, white noise and complex noise were used as psycho-acoustic stimuli to obtain the subjective response on the time perception. Paired-comparison test was used to obtain the subjective judgments on the temporal dominie in effects of four factors of such the ACF. Results showed that the mechanical time duration is obviously different from the time duration perceived by the person. That auditory-time perception was found related significantly with the psycho-social health which is concern to wellbeing of the person in different ways.
