Method of defining the operational regime of power plants under market conditions

Defining the prospective operational regimes of power plant is one of the most important tasks that arise when developing energy system projects. For determining the project tasks of energy systems important are such characteristics of power plants operational regime as the capacity of being participated in certain regimes, annual production of electrical energy, number of hours for the capacity to be used in a year. These factors of power plants operational regime are the initial energy information for defining the load of electrical networks in different periods of the day and night, for analyzing prospective balances of electrical energy and capacity, analyzing the structure of generating power, technical and economical justification of new generating objects. The methodology of defining optimal regimes of work at the annual interval by a market criteria and its approbation at the Mongolian central energy system (CES) are studied in this work.
