Evaluation of efficiency class DE power amplifier in the frequency band

The paper presents the evaluation of efficiency of class DE power amplifiers (PA) utilizing either series or parallel compensation inductance and operating in the frequency band. Because of substantial dependence of PA mode from operating frequency and load resistance, incomplete recharge of output capacities in transistors occur at high frequencies thus reducing its efficiency. If the problem is solved by simultaneous decrease of load resistance and supply voltage, it will be accompanied by a substantial decrease in output power. The research aims to assess the maximum attainable power utilization factor of switching devices in the marked above variants of class DE PA and its behavior in the frequency band.
