Control of wind turbine's pitch angle based on DFIG by using MRAC and PIP controller

In recent decades by reducing the fossil fuel sources, use of new energy and wind energy in particular, has attracted many attentions. The most important factors affecting the productivity of wind turbines is wind speed and direction that is constantly changing. One method for power control of wind turbines is change the angle of the wind turbine blade, proportional to the wind speed changes. In this paper in order to control of wind turbine's pitch, has been used of an adaptive method based on model reference control and this result compared with PIP control. The results show that PIP controller compared to adaptive controller has a weaker performance. The results show that the tracking error of model reference adaptive control improved about 25.64%. According to the results adaptive method has lesser than other classic methods and production power at varying wind speeds is reached faster to desired level.
