1.63–1.73 µm tunable all-fiber femtosecond pulse generation from a P-doped Raman fiber pumped by 1.56 µm dissipative soliton

We report a 1.63–1.73 µm femtosecond pulse based on the Raman self-frequency-shift of a 960 m P-doped Raman fiber. The seed source is 1,56 µm dissipative solitons with the pulse duration of 7.5 ps and the repetition frequency of 7.71 MHz. The Raman self-frequency-shift in the P-doped Raman fiber results in the tunable wavelength only by adjusting the input power. As the input power increases, nonlinear optical effect such as self-phase modulation(SPM) and four-wave mixing(FWM) begin to take effect, which results in the broad spectrum range. Finally, we obtain the ∼100 nm wavelength tuning range and ∼970 femtosecond soliton pulses with a maximum input power of 120 mW after the second stage amplifier.
