Design and comparative analysis of CL, CLCL and Trap-CL filters for current source inverters

Distributed photovoltaic power generation needs converters to manage the grid current injection. In way to conform to IEEE Std. 519-2014, output filters are required, which were still underexplored for the current source inverter. In this paper, the CL filter design methodology is applied to greater order filters as CLCL and Trap-CL, with the necessary adjustments, and made a comparative analysis between them. The analysis and design methodology are validated through simulations in PSIM software.
