Voltage security assessments using the Arnoldi algorithm

The authors formulate power system voltage security assessment as an optimization problem, which considers control effects. This optimization problem is decomposed into two sub-problems. With the Arnoldi algorithm, the sub-problems can be solved efficiently. Their approach is proven effective on a modified IEEE 118-bus system.
