A design of SIW filters for RADAR and 5G applications

This paper presents filter design using Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) technology with Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) as a transmission path. Which is suitable for Millimetre wave applications like RADAR, 5G, Ect, In this design two resonance peaks are available; first one occurs at 49.9GHz with reflection coefficient −31dB and insertion loss is −0.5dB and second resonance occurs at 60.4GHz with a reflection coefficient of −52dB with insertion loss −0.9dB. Both resonances are given greater than 1GHz bandwidth. This is required for millimetre applications.
