Research on position detection technology of high voltage circuit breaker motor mechanism

Rotor position detection and signal conditioning circuit of brushless DC motor are designed for the special applications of high voltage circuit breaker motor mechanism. First, high voltage circuit breaker brushless DC motor mechanism and brushless DC motor rotor position detection technology were introduced in brief. Then we analyzed the speed requirements of high-voltage circuit breaker opening and closing operation at all stages. Finally, according to the ideal opening and closing operation speed characteristic curve of the given 40.5 kV vacuum circuit breaker short-circuit state motor, we designed motor position detection circuit, voltage conversion circuit and communications circuit. Voltage conversion circuit testing system is established. Experimental results show that the designed circuit meeting the requirements of circuit breaker operating.
