Thermal transport and non-newtonian behaviors of 3D complex liquids using molecular simulations

A modified nonequilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) method has been used to calculate the normalized (by plasma frequency) thermal conductivity (λ
₀
) of three-dimensional (3D) strongly coupled complex (dusty) plasmas (SCCDPs). New investigations of normalized λ
₀
have been investigated for a sufficient range of plasma parameters of Coulomb coupling (Γ) and Debye screening strength (κ). A canonical ensemble (NVT) is employed in order to maintain the temperature of the Yukawa liquids. The results obtained depend on the both plasma parameters (Γ, κ) and the minimum value of thermal conductivity (λ
₀
)
_min
shifts toward Γ with increasing κ, as expected in earlier numerical results. The computations of particle lattice correlations |Ψ (τ)| indicate the order-disorder (OD) structures in SCCDPs and it has been shown that our system remains in strongly coupled regime. The presented homogenous NEMD (HNEMD) method is accepted to have more professional technique and this method provides reasonable results that are good agreement with the earlier numerical results within less than ±10% - 20% range round the presented data state points.
