Study on evaluation method of energy consumption in computer system

With the expanding of large-scale computing and the undated of computer equipments, energy utilization of computer has increasingly exposed the problem of high energy waste. Saving energy in using computer service has become a significant topic. There are lots of factors that can affect energy consumption of computers. Now, people have done much research on how to evaluate energy consumption of computer system. In this paper, we investigate some existing popular methods of energy consumption analysis on computer system, and generalize them into three kinds of types, which consist of energy evaluation method by measurement, by analog simulation, and by analytic formula respectively. It may be advantage to green computing research and its related application.
