GUI rendering engine utilizing Lua as script

In the domain of computer based systems C++ programming language is often used as mean to implement certain functionality that is critical in aspect of resource consumption, but it also brings several drawbacks that reduce flexibility and speed of development. Goal of this paper is to present one approach in removing direct dependency on platform for development of applications by introducing script mapping to C++ API. We will compare benchmark measurements of performance for applications developed using C++ and Lua code based on same API. These results will be used to present benefits and disadvantages of proposed approach.
