Antenna tracking system based on pulse of synchronization CVBS: Design System And Analyze

On terrestrial analog television receiver, antenna tracking system based on signal amplitude parameter AGC has been widely used. In the other side, it is inefficient because generally on the front and rear of TV panel is not equipped with AGC output. Another solution that can be used is by analyzing synchronization condition on composite video signal (CVBS). In this research, tracking antenna system worked with analyzing rising transition on the synchronization pulse. Besides that, the system was designed with simple computing. From the research that has been done, antenna tracking systems can obtain ideal picture (maximum clarity) on between tracking time 11 to 18 seconds. If the number of rising transition of each frame on ideal condition without RF disturbance is 16048 per frame (PAL CVBS), then on maximum clarity picture, tracking system can detect rising transition on between 16046 to 16055 per frame. So that the average error only 3.6 for each frame or expressed in value of Error Rate Percentage only reach 0.034%. So, this value was close to the ideal standard 16048 per frame.
