Evaluation of power flow solution space boundary

This paper proposes use of a contour evaluation program to aid in exploring the structure of the boundary of the solutions of the power flow problem. A simple example of a two bus system has been considered to illustrate the complex nature of the power flow solution space. Boundary curves have been obtained using contour evaluation program which show the voltage stability limits, system performance during disturbances and tradeoffs between design parameters.
