Novel approach for determining pilot bus and it's analysis for overall stability enhancement with FACTS controller

This paper investigate the various changes offered such as loading and power injection pattern in power system network. An attempt has been made in understanding the system behavior as loading patterns are changed and also the power injection statistics is altered. The present work deals with an investigation of power network (IEEE-14 bus system) for deciding the parametric boundaries for effective network operation The study carried out with PSAT tool box to determine the weak bus in the network under varying system conditions such as load change and also verifying the weak bus by placing SVC (Static VAR Compensator). The study for enhancement of stability with UPFC (Unified Power Flow Controllers) and SVC have been reported. The entire analysis has been carried out systematically to identify optimal engineering solutions in a given framework.
