The generation characteristics of the improved configuration of the stator and the mover in the linear generator using vibration energy

The linear synchronous generator system is developed. Mechanical vibration occurs when various vehicles are operated. This vibration of the vehicle is absorbed by mechanical dampers or other facilities. Using the linear generator, energy of mechanical vibration is converted to electric energy. The experimental device has been developed. The real vibration data is measured by the handy measurement device and the vibration is reproduced by the mechanical vibration generator. This vibration generator is connected to the mover of the linear generator. As the efficiency of the system is small, the configuration of the stator and the mover is improved. The vibration data of the automobile is applied. The generation characteristics are calculated by the three-dimensional FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis. As the air gap between the permanent magnet and the generation coil is improved, the generated voltage and power of the mover becomes large. The generated voltage and power of the mover with iron edge also increases.
