EMG database for silent speech Ruqyah recitation

This paper presents a systematic process in developing EMG database for silent speech Ruqyah recitation. Ruqyah is a collection of verses taken from the specific verses in the Quran. Muslim believers are obligated to recite these Ruqyah correctly. The quality of Ruqyah recitation can be explored through monitoring of the Electromyogram (EMG) signals. Ten muscle locations related with speech are monitored. This paper described the process in developing EMG database, specifically to evaluate Ruqyah recitation. Amplitudes, frequency spectrum and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) of the EMG signals are the criteria of assessment for this database.
