Traces through time: A probabilistic approach to connected archival data

This paper explores challenges in applying modern data analytical techniques to historical archival data, through the lens of The National Archives' Traces through Time project. It considers the potential of computational approaches to create new access routes for heritage collections, offers a practitioner's perspective on the implications for archival description in a digital age and anticipates future developments in this field.
