Estimation of the output of Taiwan's visual arts industry

The Visual Arts Industry in Taiwan, including both production and services segments, like other cultural and creative industries in Taiwan, lack a consistent method in conducting statistical analysis. Thus, the estimated output value is not convincible nor conducive to be used as a reference during the formation of public policies. We are studying the output estimates of the Visual Arts Industry in Taiwan and expecting to use the supply chain relationships of Visual Arts Industry in Taiwan and the expenditure data of the accounts of national income, to explore feasible ways to solve the problem mentioned above. The research finding, will not only allow the reader to understand the method for output estimation of the Visual Arts Industry in Taiwan, it will further provide the public sector with a relatively objective assessment criterion in policy formulation and distribution of economic resources.
