Curriculum Development for Practical Training: A Design-Based Research of Network Detection Combat

Facing development of police training curriculum, the teachers is confronted with difficulties like variability of actual content and professionalism of teachers. At the same time, the existing curriculum development theory can not provide the appropriate solutions. This study brings together experience in training students to generate a course. The study combines the iterative research paradigm with the quantitative research and qualitative research method. The results revealed that the core of the emergent curriculum development is to generate curriculum activities, resources and the network. In this study, the research firstly provides the emergent curriculum development model for practical training under fuzzy knowledge objective, massive knowledge mainly from practice situations, and an unsharp knowledge system. Secondly, it provides the demonstration research on the emergent curriculum development by use of this mode. Finally, it summarizes the rules and tools of emergent curriculum and enriches the study on curriculum development.
