Hybrid Mosquito Host-Seeking Algorithm for Multi-Depot Vehicle Routing Problem

This paper focuses on the issue of improved performance of multi-depot vehicle routing problem (MDVRP). According to the principle of proximity, MDVRP problem is firstly decomposed into several vehicle routing problems (VRP), which are furtherly decomposed into travelling salesman problems (TSP) according to constraints. Then, a hybrid mosquito host-seeking (HMHS) is proposed to solve the TSP, mathematical formulation are provided, 3-opt local optimization method is used for improvement. Finally, simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of proposed algorithm, and improved results can be observed compared to genetic algorithm (GA), Tabu search method (TS) and ant colony optimization method (ACP).
