A physical-effect-awared part behavior modeling method on control integration for pipelining manufacturing modules

While the challenges and the advance factors of implementation technology are emerging, there are still lack of ideal formal models and developing tools for mechanical experts to construct the controller software on control integration for the pipelining manufacturing modules. To meet the requirements, a novel part behavior modeling method has been proposed in this paper. The definitions of materials, parts, and coordinates for the model are given and the concept of two levels of modules is brought in. The level of mechanism modules is defined as the space of moveable objects track groups, while the level of policy modules is the space of workstations and stages applying customized policies. Since the physical effects of part behaviors are considered in this model, the invalid situations of physical events can be checked and avoided in the controlling actions. The controlled actions supplied by the dedicated devices are also able to be described in the part behavior model, which is benefit for mapping and composing controlling actions from controllers to match the granularity of dedicated interfaces of device controls. Finally, the design of the controller framework has been addressed based on the model.
