Ray tracing channel model for millimeter-(mm-) wave systems

In this paper, a ray tracing technique has been implemented to model the wireless channel best suited in millimeter (mm-) wave based systems. The mm-wave technology is the key for future gigabit-wireless applications that demands a better understanding of the spatial properties of a wireless channel. The conventional tap-delay channel model does not contain sufficient information about the spatial correlation of propagation paths that are being better analyzed with a ray tracing channel model. The performance of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system is evaluated with presented ray tracing channel model.
