Alignment control of liquid crystal molecules in the hollow optic fiber

We demonstrate a unique technique to solve the alignment of LCs in fiber core based on polymer surface stabilized alignment (PSSA) technique to make the reorientation of LCs aligned well in a preferred direction. The electro-optic characteristics of LC fiber devices can be efficiently modulated by the PSSA process conditions.
