Satellite image steganography using high degree compressed embedding technique

Satellite Image captured has a high degree of data storage and requires more time for its recovery. Multiple transmission is required while recovering the images of similar features but of large capacity. Image Embedding is one such technique that will not only reduce storage capacity but also enables steganography. The two high resolution images are first registered using registration technique. The registered images are subjected to Image embedding. When we embed two images, there is a chance for increasing in degradation of quality of image i.e. overlapping of two images. The proposed system incorporates the usage of partitioning trees that encodes the wavelet coefficients exploiting the inherent similarities across the sub bands in wavelet decomposition. The registered images are embedded without disturbing its significant portion of the images, irrespective of its image interpretation parameters. The encoded image is quantized using Non uniform quantization and encoded using ZIV coding with transmission as polar quaternary signal. At the reconstruction, the line coded signal is decoded by extracting significant portion of Multi resolution embedding level where several stages of filter procedures tends to produce high degree of fidelity and increased null coefficients for both the primary and secondary images which intend proportionately increases the compression ratio. Simulation is done using MATLAB. Experimental results demonstrate the high quality recovery of the embedded image in terms of both spectral and perceptual analysis.
