An optimal design method of double-stator flux-switching permanent magnet machine based on magnetic equivalent circuit

This paper presents the optimization method of a double-stator flux-switching permanent magnet (FSPM) machine using ferrite permanent magnet (PM). The rotor dimension is a key parameter in the design process of an FSPM machine. Also, in double-stator FSPM, the split ratio related with rotor is important parameter which determines the operating point of PM. In order to calculate flux density in PM, magnetic equivalent circuit is employed. As a consequence of calculation and considering the conditions of application, the optimal ratio can be determined.
