Modeling of flight dynamics of LAV in the deformation process

The characteristics of deformation process is unique to LAV (Loitering Aerial Vehicle, LAV), which leads to the redistribution of aerodynamics characteristics, mass center and moment of inertia. In this paper, an analysis method of multi-body dynamics is introduced into the traditional flight dynamics analysis and the six-degree of freedom nonlinear dynamic model of LAV in its deformation process is established. The numerical simulation of aerodynamics in its deformation process is carried out by quasi-steady aerodynamic supposition. Finally the longitudinal responses of the morphing aircraft in different deformation process velocities are numerically simulated and the laws of the dynamic characteristics are investigated, which provide a theoretical reference for the structure design and control law design of LAV in its deformation process.
