Harmonic distortion assessment using state estimation algorithm

The power distribution sector is facing high operational costs due to penalties related to poor power quality delivered to sensitive customers. In order to improve the power quality a broader assessment is needed. This paper proposes a harmonic distortion assessment method based in the state estimation technique. This method is intended to assess harmonic distortion where there are not measurement devices available or to correct measurement errors.
