Annual chapter training meeting and symposium awards

The annual Chapter Chair dinner and training event was held on Monday, July 25, 2016 in Ottawa, Canada from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm during the 2016 IEEE International Symposium on EMC. It wasn’t my first time attending this event but definitely my first time as the Chapter Coordinator of 83 Chapters and having to act as host. Instead, you might know me as the IEEE EMC Young Professionals Chair. Sergio Pignari, my predecessor as Chapter Coordinator, has left big shoes to fill. The entire EMC Society thanks Sergio for his six years of service as Chapter Coordinator. From his tremendous work on resolving Chapter issues among sections, to coordinating with the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) for adequate training, and other such contributions, I was forewarned that it would be a lot of work to match the level of dedication and time put into this position from Sergio, but I am up to the task!
