Insulation analysis and improvement of 12kV solid-insulated ring main units

Research on the problem of partial discharge after spraying zinc that has important significance for the insulation analysis and improved of solid-insulated ring main units. In this paper research object is 12kV solid-insulated ring main units' insulation cylinder, finite element analysis method is used, in the view of electric field concentration on the end of line insulation sleeve when the surface of insulation cylinder is sprayed with zinc, it is easy to occur partial discharge. Improved the problem of whole electric field distribution and local electric field concentration of ring main units by adding the grounding shielding ring and shielding mesh to the original insulation tube. The experimental results show that: the improved method that adding the grounding shielding ring and shielding mesh is feasible in engineering application; it can increase the insulation performance of solid-insulated ring main units, meanwhile it also provides a theoretical reference for improving the insulation design of the solid-insulated ring main units.
