Cross-coupled synchronous control of telescopes complex

This paper deals with the problem of synthesis control algorithm for elevation axes of two telescopes with a common azimuthal axis. One of the telescopes is considered to be a master and a slave telescope should follow the elevation angle position of the master with a zero error in steady state without disturbances and with the minimal error in the case of wind disturbance. Methods of the electrical engineering theory, automatic control theory, and methods of imitative computer system simulation are used to solve this problem. Considered problem is decomposed to the task of angle tracking for the both of telescopes and the task of cross-coupled synchronization of telescopes. For each telescope discrete-time optimal control algorithm with a guaranteed degree of stability is designed. The system is closed loop by the state observer. Synchronous position error is minimized by the feedforwards between telescopes states. Coefficients of feedforward matrixes are calculated from their state space models. There is an example of solving the problem with the simulation in MATLAB / Simulink.
