A novel SOLS technique for reducing area and achieving better hur of FM0/Manchester encoding in DSRC application

In engineering technique, to push the intelligent transportation system into our daily life, the dedicated short range communication(DSRC) is used. DSRC is a protocol which is used for one or two way medium range communication. To reach the dc-balance and enhancing signal reliability the FM0/Manchester encode must adopts the DSRC standards. The code diversity between FM0 and Manchester encoding seriously limits the utilization of hardware. Due to the code diversity problem hardware utilization rate is 57.14%. To overcome this drawback in DSRC application Similarity Oriented Logic Simplification(SOLS) technique is proposed. By using SOLS technique 100% hardware utilization rate was obtained and also the chip size and power consumption were reduced by 3% and 2% respectively.
