The formulation and implementation of an analog/digital control system for a 100-kW dc-to-dc buck chopper

The authors present a description of the design and implementation of an analog-to-digital controller for a 100-kW Ship Service Converter Module that is being used in a U.S. Navy reduced-scale dc zonal electric distribution system. The system requirements, control law, controller modes of operation and validation studies are documented.
