Solution-processed perovskite for direct X-ray detection

X-ray detectors made from crystalline silicon or amorphous silicon are widely used in medical diagnosis, such as mammography or computed tomography. However, state-of-art of X-ray detectors are still suffering from high manufacturing cost. In this article, we demonstrate a methylammonium lead iodide (CH
₃
NH
₃
PbI
₃
) based photodiode for direct X-ray detection. The solution-processed perovskite photodiode exhibited a good responsivity of 12.5A/W.
