A coordinative planning framework for cyber-power distribution system

The transformation of the existing power grid into smart grid is a key engineering priority. Information systems are a crucial enabling technology for smart grid, and the interaction between information technology and physical power systems is becoming deeper and more central. Conventional distribution network planning, which tends to ignore this close interaction, is unable to meet the development needs of smart grid. This paper proposed a collaborative planning framework for cyber-power distribution systems. The detailed coordination between physical distribution network planning, communication system planning, and distribution system automation planning was investigated. The planning model, evaluation index, and method for sub-programming problems were developed, which provided a basis for the planning of the future cyber-power distribution networks.
