Microlaser array on plasmonic grating

Recently, perovskite lead halide semiconductors have attracted significant attention for their brilliant performances for optoelectronic applications. Here, we report a simple approach for the realization of highly uniform microlaser arrays on gold plasmonic grating. By placing a single crystalline CH
3
NH
3
PbBr
3
microribbon onto a gold grating, the lead halide perovskite microribbon has been divided into one-dimensional periodic segments. Each segment composes of one 770nm part on air gap and another 665nm part on gold. As the parts on of CH
3
NH
3
PbBr
3
microribbon on gold experience higher loss from the interband transition of bound electrons of gold, the corresponding laser thresholds are much higher than the ones above the air gaps. Consequently, only the suspended parts of the microribbon can generate laser emission and a microlaser array with density 697/mm has been achieved. Besides, the dimensions along the slits of the perovskite are almost the same resulting from the natural growth of crystals. And the spectra of the lasers from different subunits are found to be almost the same, indicating the nice uniformity of the microlaser array.
