In vivo three-dimensional intra-cardiac vector flow imaging using a 2D matrix array transducer

This work describes and demonstrates an approach for volumetric 3D vector flow imaging in the adult heart using a clinical matrix array transducer. Broad transmit beams are used to achieve a high frame rate acquisition, and a novel hybrid estimator combining Doppler and speckle tracking properties is used for flow velocity estimation.
