One-probe solution in medical ultrasound imaging with CMUT technology

Kolo Medical Inc. has developed a 10 MHz 1.5D array probe using CMUT technology. The probe has 192 × 3 elements and a bandwidth covering from 4 MHz to 17 MHz. The probe does not require any switches to control elevation aperture size by utilizing DC bias. With ultra-wide bandwidth and 1.5D array, the probe is a one-probe solution to replace two or three linear array probes in clinical applications.
