Power management for Android platform by Set CPU

Several smart phones in the feature of Android market are still in development stage and accordingly it is growing rapidly due to its large open source developer community. Smart devices have still low potential computing power such as limited in memory capacity, CPU speed and battery power lifetime. The objective of this study is to manage smart mobile devices, CPU frequency and kill unnecessary applications that are running in background processes to save the power of battery of Android phones. The main work done in this research work is saving the power of battery in smart phone devices. Users mostly want to use heavy applications which require more CPU frequency than allowed CPU frequency, so that application makes more burdens at performance of CPU. In this paper, a research orientated approach has been proposed to solve the problem of battery power consumption as well as making performance well of smart phone devices and creating the environment as simple as possible for users. The situation that fixed frequency problem has been solved by adjusting the CPU frequencies based on real load. Then killing unnecessary applications also implemented here for further saving power consumption. Through extensive simulation and experimental tests, the proposed approach has been validated for good performances.
