A critical study on the role of unified power flow control in voltage power transfer

This type of work involves experimental investigations in starting phase and detailed power system result studies in the last phase. At starting phase this research work involves experimental investigations on conventional voltage source converter based unified power flow controller and bridge configured matrix based unified power flow controller. A prototype model of the proposed novel ZSMC based unified power flow controller (ZSMC) is constructed in the lab and compared with MATLAB and PSPICE simulation results. Conventional VSC based unified power flow controller is made and a detailed comparative analysis made between the voltage source converter and matrix based unified power flow controller.
