Silicon photonic 32 × 32 strictly-non-blocking blade switch and its full path characterization

We demonstrate all 1024 path connections of a compact 32×32 strictly-non-blocking thermooptic Si-wire switch. Advanced 300-mm wafer fabrication, dense electronic flip-chip packaging, and pulse-width-modulation heater control are successfully integrated.
