High Frequency Optically Coherent Analog Antenna Link with True Time Delay

There has been much interest in the use of high bandwidth, light weight optical fiber to implement true time delays in future generations of phased array 4qeq4[1-2]. Among the various architectures proposed, the coherent detection architecture[2] offers several important advantages including high channel packing density, excellent SNR and the flexibility needed in large - scale phased array radar antenna systems.
