Smoke-generating properties of flame-retardant cables

The smoke-generating properties of flame-retardant Cables were evaluated Using a 3m cube test. (1) The smoke density of halogen-containing flameretardant cables is large. (2) The effects of size and jacketing materials are manifested in the 3m cube test. (3) For halogen-free cables, no strong correlation was observed between the results of the 3m cube and NBS tests.
