Modelling and simulation of direct power control strategy for DFIG using vienna rectifier

This paper introduces a direct power control (DPC) procedure for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) — based wind power generation system under distorted grid voltage. By dissecting the six times grid frequency power pulsation created by the fifth and seventh grid voltage harmonic parts, a novel DPC technique with vector proportional integrated (VPI) controller has been proposed to actualize the smooth active and reactive power output of DFIG. The execution examination of the proposed DPC method, including the steady and dynamic state execution, Closed-circle operation steadiness, and dismissal capacity for the grid voltage distorted part has been explored. The accessibility of the proposed DPC technique with a VPI controller is checked by test after effects of DFIG system under harmonically distorted grid condition.
