Slots-loaded dual-band elliptical polarized antenna

In this paper, slots loaded elliptical polarized (EP) dual-band microstrip antenna printed on a substrate single layer is proposed. The antenna is consists from a four T-shaped slots near patch boundary and two pair of L-shaped slots etched at the corner of the radiating patch with rectangular shaped slot at the patch center. These types of the slots are produces two different frequency bands for wireless communication standards such as IEEE802.16 and IEEE802.11a. The lower band (WiMAX: 2.5-2.69 GHz) and the upper band (WLAN: 5.725-5.85 GHz) which are controlled by the inner and outer slots respectively. By introducing symmetry on each slot and feed position, the proposed antenna exhibits gain for the two bands of 2.6 GHz and 5.8 GHz are 6.08 dBi and 7.31 dBi respectively, with antenna dimensions of 44(L) × 44(W) × 1.67(H) mm

made it as high gain and small size antenna. The simulation results of reflection coefficient, gain and pattern are comparable. This proposed antenna is simple in construct and low cost for LTE and WLAN applications.
