Application of AHP for selection of source for Microgrid system

In recent years the demand for Microgrid (MG) system having two or more different types of energy source is widely used to satisfy the increasing demand from the ever growing population all over the world. The advantage of MG system includes optimum utilization of available resources to maximum benefit in this aspect selection of source which can selected in a logical and cognitive way. In this regard AHP MCDM was used to select sources which can optimally use the available resources. The study developed and index which uses 9 input parameters to estimate the suitability of sources for utilization of MG system. According to the result the most important parameter was found to be Payback Period and least important parameter was found to be Replacement Cost.
