Analysis on advantages and disadvantages of teaching evaluation system in independent colleges: A case study of Tan Kah Kee College

At present, the evaluation of teaching system is an important part of the teaching management system in many colleges and universities. The implementation of the teaching evaluation system has positive effect on restraining the behavior of teachers and encouraging teachers to improve teaching. This paper takes evaluation of teaching in as a case study, and the status and function of the evaluation system in Tan Kah Kee College of Xiamen University are analyzed and summarized. And according to characteristics of the students in the independent college the problems and disadvantages of existing in the process of teaching evaluation are pointed out in this paper. Meanwhile, in view of the reform of the student evaluation system is put forward.
