The review of demand side management and load forecasting in smart grid

This paper presents a comprehensive review of the demand side management (DSM) and load forecasting (LF) in smart grid environment. The goals of the smart grid, the contents of the DSM, two major categories of LF: mathematical and artificial intelligence based computational models are elaborated with subcategories. Two methods are compared in MAPE way, and the reasons of the results are also discussed. Finally, the challenges that we will meet in smart grid are proposed.
