Surface waves and the ‘crucial’ propagation experiment — The key to efficient wireless power delivery

By employing the Hankel transform of a radial ground current, the Zenneck surface wave, which is a non-radiating guided-wave mode, is derived. We report on its use in our replication of the `crucial' Seneca Lake experiment of 1936, which had been used to vindicate the Sommerfeld sign error myth, and which has implications in efficient wireless power transfer over great distances.
